Sustainable Development Goal 9 (SDG 9) set up by United Nations General Assembly in 2015 is based on three unified dimensions: infrastructure, industry and innovation. These dimensions have the common objective of achieving socially and environmentally inclusive economic development which is to be realized by 2030. It will require overcoming resource constraints, building and strengthening developing countries' capacities, and exploring innovative ways to solve development challenges in accordance with their respective capabilities, to create a sustainable growth. SDG 9 aims to build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster the importance of research and innovation to find the lasting solutions to threats of Climate Change, Population growth and Urbanization, Excessive Waste generation, energy usage and global warming, and pollution to name a few.
