The School of
Management Sciences (SMS), Lucknow had the privilege of hosting Mr. Ravindra Pal Singh, Director –
Software Engineering, Amdocs, for an
enriching interaction with Engineering and Management students. The purpose of
the visit was to provide students with deep insights into emerging technologies, innovation, and industry practices.

Session:
A session on “Generative AI: Impact on the
Future of IT Industry” was conducted for Engineering students. Mr. Singh
elaborated on how Generative AI is reshaping the IT sector through automation,
new business models, and evolving job roles. He emphasized the need for continuous learning, adaptability, and innovation
for students aspiring to succeed in technology-driven careers.

Session:
MBA students engaged in an insightful discussion on “Innovation and Project Management”. Mr. Singh explained the
role of innovation in organizational growth and competitiveness. He highlighted
essential project management principles, including planning, execution, monitoring, and team collaboration, encouraging students to adopt innovative
approaches in managerial practice.
Mr. Singh toured
several facilities at SMS Lucknow, including the Central Library, Computer
Centre, Sir C.V. Raman Centre of
Innovation & Research, and the Incubation & Entrepreneurial Cell. He appreciated
the institution’s infrastructure, research initiatives, and entrepreneurial
ecosystem.
The sessions
witnessed active student engagement through Q&A rounds and discussions,
enabling them to connect classroom learning with real-world applications.
The event was

An insightful and interactive session titled “Power of Networking” was organized at School of Management Sciences (SMS), Lucknow,
with the primary objective of enlightening students on the significance of
cultivating and sustaining professional networks in today’s highly competitive
world.
The event was graced by two eminent personalities:
Dr. C.M. Dwivedi, Hon’ble Member, Governing Council, SMS Group of Institutions
Mr. Pravin Sawant, Senior Vice President and CHRO, 63 Moons Technologies Ltd.
In his address, Mr. Sawant drew upon his vast corporate
experience to highlight the practical
dimensions of networking. He emphasized that in the present professional
ecosystem, networking is not just a complementary skill but a necessity for
career advancement. He encouraged students to take initiative in building
meaningful connections, especially by leveraging digital networking platforms
such as LinkedIn.
Adding further
depth, Dr. Dwivedi elaborated on
the psychological and behavioural aspects
of effective networking. He explained that impactful networking goes beyond
formal interactions and is rooted in empathy, active listening, consistency,
and sincerity.
The session was
marked by enthusiastic participation from students, who engaged in interactive Q&A rounds and open
discussions with the speakers.
The presence of senior leadership further added significance to the event. Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Bhatnagar, Director, SMS Lucknow, along with Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Associate Director, faculty members, and staff attended the session. Sajid Patel, Associate Vice President HR: Head L&OD at Datamatics Global Services Limited, for
a highly engaging and insightful guest talk organized for students.
Mr. Sajid Patel, a seasoned HR professional with extensive industry experience, shared his valuable perspectives on emerging trends in Human Resource Management, industry expectations from young professionals, and the importance of adaptability, upskilling, and emotional intelligence in today’s dynamic corporate landscape. Addressing a packed auditorium of enthusiastic students, Mr. Patel emphasized the evolving role of technology in shaping modern workplaces and the critical skills that graduates must cultivate to remain competitive. During the session Mr. Patel conducted a Personality Assessment Workshop by engaging students in various exercises followed byone to one interaction where students had the opportunity to engage directly with Mr. Patel, seeking guidance on career choices, corporate culture, and growth opportunities in the IT and services sectors.

farewell party titled "ALVIDA"
was organized today at School of Management Sciences (SMS), Lucknow, by the
B.Tech third-year students to bid an emotional goodbye to the final year B.Tech
Batch of 2025.
The event was
graced by several distinguished dignitaries including Dr. Ashish Bhatnagar,
Director, SMS Lucknow, Dr. B.R. Singh, Director General (Tech),Dr. Dharmendra
Singh, with all the Heads of Departments and faculty members.
The farewell
program featured vibrant cultural performances, heartfelt speeches, and
expressions of gratitude and good wishes. It was a memorable gathering that
celebrated the academic journey and personal growth of the graduating students.
A special
highlight of the event was the announcement of Mr. and Miss Farewell 2025,
where Mr. Tej Pratap Singh of B.Tech Computer Science and Miss Shraddha Pathak
of B.Tech Civil Engineering were crowned with the honours for their remarkable
presence and contribution during their academic tenure.
The event
concluded with warm wishes from faculty members and a DJ session, creating a
perfect ending to an unforgettable evening.

Management Association (LMA) conferred "LMA Sustainability
Award-2025" to School of Management Sciences, Lucknow for its outstanding
commitment to sustainable development and stewardship during an award ceremony at
Hotel Grand JBR, Lucknow on 22nd March, 2025. The award was
presented by Mr. Alok Ranjan, Former Chief Secretary, Govt. of U.P. and
Executive members of LMA. Mr. Sharad Singh, Secretary & CEO received the
award on behalf of SMS Lucknow. This prestigious award has been conferred to
SMS Lucknow for its contribution in advancing United Nations' Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs).
Mr. Sharad

A two-day
national Conference on "Sustainable Business Strategies for a Shared
Future"was held at the School of Management Sciences (SMS), Lucknow
on 21st and 22nd February 2025, in collaboration with
the Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD) and the Indian
Institute of Public Administration (IIPA).
The conference
brought together thought leaders, industry experts and academicians who
discussed and deliberated on innovative strategies to integrate sustainability
into business operations for long-term growth and societal impact.
The conference commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting which was followed by theWelcome Address by Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Bhatnagar, Director, SMS Lucknow, who set the stage for meaningful discussions. The Inaugural Session was graced by Sh R. Ramani Former Chief Secretary U.P. and Chairman IIPA (U.P. Chapter), along with Prof. Krishna Kumar Former Director IIM Khozikode, Prof. Virendra Kumar Mishra from BHU, Varanasi, Prof. Shruti Sharma Rana from TERI New Delhi senior dignitaries, and thought leaders from academia and industry. Prof. Shruti highlighted that sustainable business strategies are the key to creating long-term value for stakeholders. She said “Organizations must shift from a profit-centric approach to a purpose-driven model that prioritizes people and the planet along with profitability." In his address Prof. Krishna Kumar stressed that “businesses that prioritize sustainability today will lead the markets of tomorrow, ensuring a balance between profitability and responsibility.” Prof. V.K. Mishra from BHU emphasized the growing importance of sustainability in business models and highlighted how organizations must integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices to ensure long-term growth and impact.

The Plenary Session featured experts deliberating on subjects like Sustainable Education, Sustainable Entrepreneurship, Sustainability in Fashion Industry, Strategic Decisions for a Sustainable Future, Sustainable Finance and Circular Economy.
70 Research Papers were presented by Academicians and Research Scholars from
various parts of the country, during the Conference.
The Valedictory Session on 22nd February was graced by Prof. Pavnesh Kumar, Professor IGNOU, New Delhi, Sh. Sudhanshu Mani G.M. (Retd.) Indian Railways. Prof. Ajai Prakash, Professor of Management University of Lucknow in his Valedictory Address said "Corporate sustainability is not just about compliance; it is about leadership and accountability. Every business, irrespective of its size, must take proactive steps in reducing its carbon footprint and promoting ethical governance."
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from academicians,
researchers, corporate professionals, and students, all eager to explore

School of Management Sciences, Lucknow and Lucknow Management Association, jointly organized the Principal’s Conclave-2025 on the theme "Reimagining Education for a Viksit Bharat: Preparing Future-Ready Learners." The event witnessed the participation of over 200 principals from Lucknow and other districts. The keynote speaker for the event was Dr. Vikram Singh, former Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh, and Chancellor, Noida International University.
The guest of
honour for the event included Mr. A.K. Mathur, Sr. Vice President, L.M.A, Col. (Dr.)
Zahid Siddiqui (Retd.), Author and Social Activist, and Mrs. Sona Seth, Deputy
Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Regional Office, Lucknow.
The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the recitation of the Saraswati Vandana. In an welcome address, Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Bhatanagar, Director, SMS, Lucknow, emphasized the importance of such events in facilitating meaningful academic and social discussions. He highlighted how these deliberations could help build a visionary perspective for Viksit Bharat-2047, contributing to nation-building.
Dr. Vikram Singh, in his keynote speech, elaborated on the theme and addressed that achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat-2047 requires a strong foundation in education, starting from primary to higher education. He emphasised on the importance of a well-structured and futuristic education system in shaping a progressive nation. He further discussed the significance of school leadership and pedagogy in this context and advised educators to focus on restructuring and modernizing teaching methodologies.
During the event, an engaging panel discussion was moderated by Dr. Dheeraj Mehrotra, Regional Head, Adani Gems Education India, featuring eminent speakers Dr. Mehnaaz Rehman, Principal Birla International School, Pampore, Kashmir, Ms. Gunjali Kothari, Founder Flashhaid, Ms.Harshana Loomba, Principal of DALIMSS Sunbeam School, Varanasi, Ms. Madhulika Agarwal, Principal of Kunskapsskolan School, Lucknow, who shared their valuable insights.
Another panel discussion was moderated by Prof. (Dr.) Manjula Upadhyay, Principal, Navyug Kanya Mahavidayalaya, Lucknow featuring eminent speakers Ms. Poonam Gautam from Seth M.R Jaipuria School, Lucknow, Dr. Manju Lakhanpal from Delhi Public School Lucknow, and Dr. Medha Sharma from Awadh Public School.

The Networking Academy established by Cisco Corporation, USA, also received recognition.
