B.Sc. in mathematics is open to those aspirants who wish to pursue their graduation and higher studies in pure sciences . It is a very interesting field having various career options. Mathematics degree graduates are respected for their excellent quantitative and problem- solving abilities and win a wide range of rewarding positions in the public and private sectors, like banking, finance, insurance and risk management, statistical department in government, etc.

Common job profiles of students after completing Graduation in Mathematics includes: Statistician, Research Analyst, Operations Analyst, Data Analyst, Business Analyst and Finance Analyst. Numerical Analyst, Mathematician, Physicist and Chemist.

PhysicsProgramme Outcomes (PO):
PO1: The undergraduate degree will be of 4-year duration, with multiple exit options within this period, with appropriate certifications, e.g., a certificate after completing 1 year, or a diploma after 2 years of study, or a Bachelor’s degree after a 3-year programme.
PO2: The 4-year multidisciplinary Bachelor's programme allows the opportunity to experience the full range of holistic and multidisciplinary education in addition to a focus on the chosen major and minors as per the choices of the student.
PO3: The 4-year programme shall lead to a degree ‘with Research’ as the student will complete a rigorous research project in major area(s) of study.
PO4: For students completing a 4-year Bachelor’s programme with Research, there will be a 1-year Master’s programme.
PO5: The 4-year Bachelor’s degree with Research will make students eligible for entry to Ph. D. degree.
Chemistry
Programme Outcomes (PO):
PO1: The program well demonstrate an acute understanding of the major thematic concepts underlying the discipline of chemistry, both individually as well as in group, via written assignment and viva.
PO2: It will develop in the student scientific understanding of the subject , that he is able to design, conduct, record and analyse the result of chemistry experiments.
PO3: It will prepare students for the upcoming employment challenges including pursuing higher records with an emphasis on encouraging entrepreneurial instinct.
PO4: It would generate new scientific insight and their application towards enhancement of innovation in the national economy.
PO5: It would encourage publication of innovative research in the leading publications across the word.
PO6: The student will develop scientific temper and innovative analytical mindset that sets them apart from students in other comparable programmes across India.
Mathematics
PO1: Ability to communicate mathematical ideas clearly using correct mathematical terminology and proper mathematical notation and use their mathematical knowledge to solve problems.
PO2: Develop appreciation and competency for application of mathematical approaches and techniques to variety of problems and applications to problems in other disciplines such as engineering, business and other decisional sciences.
PO3: Prepare sound mathematical base for enhancing understanding in interdisciplinary subjects such as physics, engineering, computer science etc. and for pursuing Master’s Degree in Mathematics or Engineering/Computer science/ Business/Economics.
PO4: Utilize mathematical skills to coach school and college students or enhance their own career prospects through pursuit of advanced degree in mathematics or full-fill prerequisites of eligibility for various national and international competitive examinations. B.Sc. Research.
PO5: Comprehend, analyse and apply knowledge gained to formulate research objectives, adopt appropriate methodology in identified research area to provide plausible mathematical solutions in chosen research project.
PO6: Build solid foundation to pursue Masters degree in Mathematics with research orientation as a prerequisite for Ph.D. in Mathematics.

ABOUT CHEMISTRY LAB:
The lab is aptly prepared to impart experiments in Chemistry. The chemistry lab is neatly designed and has spacious, well-ventilated space with a capacity to accommodate more than 30 students. It is aesthetically designed with polished ceramics tiles, separate balance room and chemical store room. It provides students with a practical approach towards various techniques. Practical awareness is inculcated and students are trained both quantitatively and qualitatively during the lab sessions so that, their understanding towards chemical reactions may be enhanced.

Eligibility Critera:
Intermediate Science (with Mathematics group) or equivalent examination. General and Other Backward Classes candidates must secure at least 40% marks and for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes minimum 33% marks based on total marks of all subjects.
