OVERVIEW:
The Department of Civil Engineering (CE) started
in 2010 with vision of education poised with leading-edge innovation along with
prominence on leadership and ethics. It offers four year undergraduate B.Tech
program in Civil Engineering. Faculty
of Civil Engineering aims to enrich the experience of students by cooperating
and assisting them in the realization of their educational goals. Civil
engineers do great things for our society. They are responsible for the
infrastructure that transports goods and people; they create buildings that we
live in, work, and recreate in. They develop technologies to deliver safe
drinking water, manage our waste, and remediate hazards; and the systems that
protect us against natural disasters. In other words, civil engineers design,
construct, and maintain almost every part of our community. They build
environment that we live in every day.The department
is committed to impart quality education with moral values that creates environment
towards learning, educational success of students and also prepares them to
shine in their occupations in progressively complex world. The mission of the
department is to advance, evolve and enhance Civil Engineering fundamentals to
build the intellectual capital of the society and to develop critical thinking,
excellent analyzing and problem-solving skills among students. The department
has its own library with rich collection of books.
The Department has met the quality
expectations in all key areas like:
• The setting and
maintenance of the academic standards of awards.
• The enhancement of student learning
opportunities.
• The strategic approach towards the
professional development of students which enhances their employability.
• The student’s feedback in various aspects.

solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and
design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with
appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural,
societal, and environmental considerations.
4) PO4:
Conduct investigations of
complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods
including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and
synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
5) PO5:
Modern tool usage:
Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern
engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex
engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
6) PO6:
The engineer and society:
Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal,
health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities
relevant to the professional engineering practice.
