India
is celebrating 75th anniversary of Republic Day with great proud, glory
and indomitable spirit. We have witnessed and experienced a journey from being
colonized by Britishers to be decolonized and get independence after 200 years.
In this span of time we have shown unwavering determination and overcome countless
challenges due to which we have become the masters of handling any kind of
unpredictable and unprecedented problems. In old times under British rule, we
experienced many famines, and other disasters like World Wars, and then many
wars like Indo-Pak and Indo-China wars, just after independence, which hugely
affected the growth of our new born country. Many people had to sacrifice their
meals to feed others and now we are seeing ourselves distributing free ration
to millions, which is the biggest ration distribution program in the world.
Today, India stands tall among the nations of the world beautifully ascending
to a position of pride on the global stage and emerging as the third largest
economy in the world. We have seen that many communities have come together
during natural disasters like earthquake, floods, storms, and of course
COVID-19 pandemic, in which people showcased their solidarity, unity and
compassion for each other. Everyone was working exhaustively at the front, for
example, doctors, scientists, healthcare workers etc. Farmers continued to toil
to feed the nation despite facing unpredictable challenges. We cannot forget
the contribution of women, who silently endured and overcome the problems
during pandemic. We should also remember the contribution Gen X and Gen Z, who
have driven innovation and progress and also the Indians living in abroad,
whose success stories amplified India’s glory across the world. It seemed
everybody was collectively and tirelessly working to glorify our India and setting
the examples of unity in diversity.
Today’s India is unstoppable and very dauntless which is tirelessly working on every domain to become the nation that once our architectures of India dreamt for. India is now escalating economic prowess, , increasing skilled workforce in terms of young Indian brigade, increasing digital prowess as more than 16.3 billion UPI transactions we have seen in 2024, also focusing on infrastructure ( 84 new airports in the last decade), MedTech, innovation, robotic revolution, technology etc. Recently on 30 December 2024, our space research organization ISRO has successfully launched SpaDex mission, pioneering spacecraft rendezevous, docking and undcking using two small satellites and this milestone has made india the 4th country in the world to do so. We are also working on sustainable development like greenfield real state, green tourism, renewable energy, reducing carbon emission, and introducing eco friendly and human friendly technologies, signing MOUs and agreements with UN and other international group to show the sense of ‘Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam’. India has also the potential to become global sustainable energy leader and we are also privileged to have world’s third largest start-up ecosystem which makes India a ‘lighthouse of sustainable development’. Undoubtedly this is not only new India, but a nation which is the symbol of, solidarity, unity in diversity, culture, progress, inclusivity, and simultaneously collaborating with other countries to save the ecosystem.
“From
darkness to light, India’s journey continues and every day we should celebrate
our freedom and embrace our future with great pride”.
