In this rush of life, every now and then it’s important to pause for a moment or two, take a deep breath, and reflect upon the small things in life! Before being a student, a working professional, a businessman, a home-maker, a parent, a child, a friend, a struggler, a leader, a seeker, we are all humans and, in the innermost part we are all the same! So, as you continue to read this, I hope you realize that we are all in it together!
I have been waiting to share from quite some time now a couple of life lessons/Mantras/’Gyan’ or whatever you call it, that I have learnt thus far and that I feel are universal:
1) The most significant one to start with – Health is unerringly the actual wealth. It is not just a slogan. And, we wouldn’t agree more on this, now that we all have been impacted by the pandemic one way or the other.
2) Your biggest misconception that you can plan your life? NO! It will take its own course. You just have to be stretchy and bendy to sail through whatever comes your way!
3) Self-growth is an essential energizer. You have to consistently up grade yourself in some way or the other so as to justify your own life to not to anybody else but to your own self.
4) Happiness lies within you! Stop seeking for it outside. Also, happiness is contagious. It multiplies exponentially as it spreads across. Become a source of it.
5) Money, Career, profession, ambition, success – they are all essential ingredients of life, there is no denying the fact! But, relationships are like sugar and salt– in absence the dish tastes absolutely distasteful! You need to select the appropriate persons in your life and prioritise.
6) Never ever blame anybody else for the disturbance that is going on in your life! Because the bitter truth and harsh reality is –NOBODY CARES! It is your life and you will have to hold the fort and conquer it.
7) God manifests ‘himself/herself’ in the form of nature and life. Respect and admire the resources that nature has gifted us.
And the list goes on. But ultimately, it’s taught not only to me, but everybody, to pursue dreams, and to have one in the first place. To believe in the limitless power of positivity (it really can achieve the impossible!) And, to keep going despite bleakness, tears, shot nerves, and feeling utterly defeated and routed.
Because in the end, the best lesson is to live a life on purpose. To build your limited time around what makes you feel alive, and to wake up every day with goal and determination to pursue it.
