Here is an example to show the prowess of Vedic mathematical technique for solving problems based on squaring two digit numbers ending with digit 5.
Suppose we have to find the square of number 85 without multiplying i.e. 85 X 85.
The technique is to square the last digit 5, which is 25 and then multiply the first digit 8 by the next number which is 9, that is 8 x 9=72.
Finally, arrange the square of the number as follows-
Square of 85 is 7225.
