Education in engineering is always an obsession among students. With the end of secondary education, students are ready to leap on the roller coaster of engineering with the basic knowledge of Math and science. But before you start your coarse you must know what you are going up for, as it help you get ready for the upcoming demand and scenario of the market.
Engineering is an approach for learning science and technology with the use of machines, engines and structures. It is an art of learning with action and is concerned with designing and building configurations based on scientific principles. Derived from the term ‘’Engineer’’ used in the late back 14th century for the operators of the military engines, is now commonly used for any person who designs and builds the structures.

- Civil Engineering- It basically constitutes the study of designing and establishment of roads, buildings, airport, tunnels, bridges or dams. The framework and the entire infrastructure of the construction whether it be the public or private department comes under the category of Civil engineering. The sub-disciplines of Civil engineering include Municipal and Urban Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Construction Engineering, Structural Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Earthquake Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering etc.
- Electrical Engineering- When the study of designing and production of electronic systems are carried it constitutes Electrical engineering. The inclusion of various electrical systems with the sub-disciplines such as electrical circuits, computer systems, broadcast engineering, optical fibers, motors, generators, electronic devices, instrumentation, electromagnetic/electromechanical devices, electronic circuits, optoelectronic devices, telecommunications, control systems, and electronics creates different stream.
- Mechanical Engineering- The designing and manufacture of mechanical products and system constitute Mechanical engineering. The sub-disciplines are weapon systems, vibration isolation equipment, power and energy systems, robotics, aerospace/aircraft products, engines, compressors, kinematic chains, powertrains, vacuum technology, transportation products, audio equipment’s, manufacturing, turbines, and mechatronics among many others.
