Every year we listen to the news regarding the pollution hikes in our national capital Delhi and its neighboring cities. People are facing so many problems because of this, like the lack of oxygen or improper vision while driving, etc. these are the impressions that we can observe very easily but other than this there are so many changes which affect us but we do not find them easily. Climate anxiety is a group of all those changes which affect us because changes are happening in our environment. Various times various global organizations show the alarming situation because of climate change.
Climate anxiety (or eco-anxiety) is the worry, frustration, grief, and anger linked to the reality of the ongoing climate crisis and the government’s failure to respond to it and not even trying to fix it as required. In simple words, we can say that The psychological effect caused by climate change is called climate anxiety.
According to the United Nations, “Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. These shifts may be natural, such as through variations in the solar cycle. But since the 1800s, human activities have been the main drivers of climate change, primarily due to burning fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas.”
United Nations also added Burning fossil fuels generates greenhouse gas emissions that act like a blanket wrapped around the Earth, trapping the sun’s heat and raising temperatures.
Examples of greenhouse gas emissions that are causing climate change include carbon dioxide and methane. These come from using gasoline for driving a car or coal for heating a building, for example. Clearing land and forests can also release carbon dioxide. Landfills for garbage are a major source of methane emissions. Energy, industry, transport, buildings, agriculture, and land use are among the main emitters. As a result of climate change, the earth is 1.1°C warmer than it was in the late 1800s. The last decade (2011-2020) is the warmest decade on record.
We can also find that issues that are very important like climate change and others also become a political agenda for the political parties and which results in the poor management of real and important management of them. Other than this we can also find solutions out of the box like the encouragement of The Yagyopathy and other techniques related to this. In ancient India The Hrishies were do this practice on regular basis, Entire Yajurveda is dedicated to the yagyopathy, it contains so much knowledge, as well as pieces of information regarding this.
Other than this battle against the bad environment should be fought in bipolar mode. One is individually and the second is on the government of mass level. First, try to switch all public vehicles to e-vehicles or electric vehicles. If we try to remember a few years back government asks to switch from diesel vehicles to using CNG as their fuel. People took the time and now you can find that most of the vehicles in cities are using CNG fuel, big changes are being made in these ways. For this government took the initiative and provide the necessary utilities for the public to participate in this drive. Individually people can also start more promptly regarding nature's welfare. Spend at least one hour as much as possible near nature, always trying to procure it as much as possible. Make a social drive of plantation in the rainy season.
In recent years we as a people have proven this, if we come together and fight against any such problems we can solve it. we can take the example of covid-19, and other virus attacks after that.
