Art of Reconciliation With Inner Self

Reconciliation stands for making something good again or to restore. For a happy and peaceful life, restoration and continuation of harmony is important in our life. Life is full of surprises, sometimes good and sometimes unexpectedly bad, but what is important, how do we face those unexpected and unprecedented situations and bounce back, reconcile and continue to live. Many of the times we find ourselves surrounded by people and situations which are often independent of our expectations and we start feeling trapped. Consequently, we either live forcefully or we quit unwillingly. In both the situations we have to pay an emotional price, because in both the situations we undergo to experience feeling of dissociation and depression which hurts us and influences our emotional health. Externally things appear god but internally we feel pain and keep on enduring it. This situation is known as suffering and causes further many problems.

If we observe other species, we see that their needs are hunger, safety and shelter. Throughout their lives they struggle to survive and they don’t seek for any kind of respect or reconciliation and they live their life without any expectation and complaint, but if we see humans, we find that their needs are hierarchical and vey complex. Humans’ needs are a source of motivation, they have the power to think and assume the future. This power is missing in other species and this characteristic makes human different from other species and very special. This potential instills a sense of action and people start doing the action in the desired way. From our childhood we learn to cope up and gradually it is deep rooted in out nature to adjust, in that journey we start forcing ourselves or quit sometimes. Living forcefully or quitting is still ok, but when we are unable to free ourselves from the feeling of despair, that situation is indeed bad. Here comes the art of reconciliation, which has become the need of today’s humans. Reconciliation is not about living forcefully or escaping, but instead being grounded and face the situation with our full command, and yet being flexible without blaming ourselves or the situation. We have to be optimistic in that situation and think whatever time is, we have to be hopeful, confident and responsible. As we begin to reconcile with our inner self, we attain peace, harmony, we gain awareness, total control on us and the situation, and we make balance and become more responsible to the external situations also. This power of reconciliation makes human the most powerful species on the planet and makes us to win any battle of our life.

The practice of peace and reconciliation is one of the most vital and artistic of human actions so let’s practice it.
